it was a good idea at the time

have you ever made a purchase and was like, "what a bargain!". like how could you NOT have bought it? that happened to me a little while ago at DSW. i snagged some taupe pumps for less than $30. i figured, everyone needs pumps (it's such a classic shoe); plus wouldn't it be nice to have something other than black and regular brown? i knew they would look great with some trouser jeans. problem: i dont own a pair and it wouldnt be the most sound investment as the office i work in is business casual a.k.a no jeans allowed. no matter how crisp and classy they may look, at the end of the day they are jeans and im not about to try to get away with wearing them until i see at least two people wear them. so what do i wear with these?:

that's not the actual pair but they are very similar (too lazy to take and upload my own pic). basically, taupe is a brownish-grey shade.

This is the story of my life. Buyer's remorse. Espcecially with shoes. I almost did it yesterday with some purple and brown chunk heels. My sister looked at me like I was stupid and made me leave the store. Remind me to thank her later!

I used to have buyer's remorse all the time ('cause I spend too much, not 'cause I didn't like my purchases).

I also get JUST as much satisfaction from taking stuff back as I do from buying stuff, so buyer's remorse only lasts until I find my trusty receipt.

Ashley don't forget to get a list of your reader's favorite NFL teams.

i guess i do have buyer's remorse. i like the shoes but it ends up not being such a great deal when i have to make a purchase to go with them. luckily, i know how to make new, unplanned purchases go well with pieces already in my wardrobe so it's not a complete loss.

I wanted to come back by and blame you for the reason I had shoes on the brain today. So much so that I went out on lunch and bought a pair. They are steel gray though so I should be able to match them up!

I'm with T, I love taking things back almost as much as I enjoy buying it! Once I get home and decide that I don't want it. I take that receipt and head back to the store!!

I have so many dresses that I've bought because they fit nicely and were cute, but I can't wear them to work so where else am I going to wear them - NO WHERE!! LOL!!

As for your dilemma, you can wear those with a cute pair of jeans and white shirt, they really do go with anything. :-)

I would say you can wear with mith an all black outfit then if you have a belt with the same color that may work. I know that is sooo back in the day to match the belt with the shoes but hey it still works for me from time to time.
